🎨 And Interestingly it was also 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, known as Ultramarine, or “beyond the sea” coming to Europe by Italian traders, where for centuries the price of Lapis was equal to an ounce of gold.
